Forget about Luke Rockhold and Michael Bisping's ongoing feud leading into UFC 199 this Saturday (June 4, 2016) live on pay-per-view from The Forum in Inglewood, California. Instead, focus on the even more blood-boiling history between current Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Bantamweight titleholder Dominick Cruz and long-time rival Urijah Faber.
As two of the very best 135-pound fighters to ever compete in mixed martial arts (MMA), it is Cruz and Faber's destiny to finally settle the score and see who has what it takes to cap off the best of three series. Remember, Faber beat "The Dominator" via first-round submission in their initial meeting at WEC 26 and then Cruz beat "The California Kid" in the rematch at UFC 132 with a five-round unanimous decision.
Leading into the trilogy bout at UFC 199, we take a closer look at Cruz and Faber under the analytical microscope with a "By The Numbers" breakdown (shown above).
Hopefully Saturday's action is as good as their trash talk.
