Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw will have a chance to avenge a previous loss as he works his way back up the 135-pound ladder at the upcoming UFC 200 pay-per-view (PPV) event, locked and loaded for T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, on July 9, 2016.
Waiting for him will be Raphael Assuncao.
The Brazilian captured a close split decision win over Dillashaw when they went to war at UFC Fight Night 29 back in late 2013. Unfortunately, Assuncao was unable to capitalize on his impressive win streak thanks to a devastating ankle injury. Dillashaw, meanwhile, went on to capture the 135-pound crown, but coughed it up to Dominick Cruz back in January.
Time to settle this score once and for all.
UFC 200 will be headlined by the light heavyweight title rematch between Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier, while featherweight contenders Frankie Edgar and Jose Aldo bang it out in the five-round interim championship co-main event.
