Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) featherweight champion Conor McGregor has dreams of winning a world title in boxing and has been dropping world-champion pugilists with body shots. Heck, "Notorious" could probably win a gold medal in Olympic boxing.
Oh wait, that was Ronda Rousey, who got lit up when she tried to box WBF legend Holly Holm.
Sorry, nevermind.
I know the running narrative is McGregor vs. Floyd Mayweather, which can only be held in the Neighborhood of Make Believe (with Henrietta Pussycat singing the national anthem), but the Irishman's sparring partner -- former IBO welterweight champion Chris van Heerden -- looked more like Nate Diaz and less like "Money."
Either way, he was AMAZING!

K.
McGregor is coming off a high-profile submission loss to Diaz at UFC 196 back in March. So if "Notorious" plans end his unpaid leave of absence to make his Octagon return (as promised), why not work with some world champion jiu-jitsu fighters?
Probably because of this.
