The wait is over! Ronda Rousey will be making her comeback to the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Octagon later tonight (Fri., Dec. 30, 2016) at UFC 207 live on pay-per-view (PPV) from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, when she takes on current women's Bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes. Prior to Rousey's long-awaited return to professional combat, Bantamweight king Dominick Cruz will put his title on the line for the second time this year when he meets Team Alpha Male knockout artist Cody Garbrandt in the co-main event.
But, before the premier bouts get underway on PPV starting at 10 p.m. ET, a portion of UFC 207's "Prelims" undercard action will go down exclusively on Fight Pass starting at 7:30 p.m. ET. Find out what happened right here as the UFC 207 Fight Pass undercard recap rolls in real-time:
Alex Oliveira vs. Tim Means
In the opening bout of the evening, Oliveira (16-3-1, 2 NC) stepped back up to welterweight to challenge proven veteran Means (26-7-1, 1 NC) in an important battle just outside of the top 15. After a few brief exchanges that saw Means land vicious leg kicks and successfully defend a takedown, Oliveira planted a spinning back kick to the stomach of "Dirty Bird." From there, "Cowboy" gain controlled and scored points in top position. After Means secured a takedown late into the first round, he landed two knees that originally appeared illegal. However, Oliveira only had one knee down and no hands, which means Means' knees were legal, according to Vice President of Regulatory Affairs Marc Ratner. Referee Dan Miragliotta maintained the decision that Oliveira was a downed opponent and ruled the bout a no contest.
