Alan Jouban put an end to the hype last night (Sat., Dec. 17, 2016) at UFC on FOX 22 live on FOX from inside Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, Calif., after handing knockout wizard Mike Perry the first loss of his short career. The fighter/model secured multiple knockdowns en route to claiming his third-straight victory to end 2016, with this one coming by way of unanimous decision.
Jouban slowed Perry down early with kicks to the head, body and legs, securing a takedown along the way to drag “Platinum” out of his comfort zone. It didn’t take Perry long to respond, landing a huge head kick and a few flush punches to put Jouban on wobbly feet. Jouban would retaliate with a nasty combination in Round 2 before planting Perry with a straight left that sent the 25-year-old to the canvas. Perry would make it to the final frame, but “Brahma” continued to land on command and forced Perry to fight defensively.

With this win, Jouban enters 2017 as a dark horse contender capable of challenging the welterweight top 15. At 35 years of age, and a modeling career to fall back on, Jouban may not stay around for too long if he isn’t able to continuing his winning ways. But for now, “Brahma” gets the old tip of the cap.
