Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) held a special UFC 205 pre-fight media day earlier this afternoon (Weds., Nov. 9, 2016), bringing together many of the stars competing this weekend (Sat., Nov. 12, 2016) in the mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion's massive pay-per-view (PPV) event at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Among those in attendance were the fighters set to compete on the "Prelims" undercard portion of the event -- which is to air on UFC Fight Pass on FOX Sports 1 -- including Frankie Edgar vs. Jeremy Stephens, Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Michael Johnson and Frankie Edgar vs. Jeremy Stephens, among others. In addition, the fighters who will kickoff the phenomenal PPV card, Miesha Tate vs. Raquel Pennington, Donald Cerrone vs. Kelvin Gastelum and Chris Weidman vs. Yoel Romero, were also on hand while the championship trio held simultaneous open workouts.
That group, of course includes main event participants, Lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez and Featherweight kingpin, Conor McGregor (full video highlights here).
UFC 205's "Prelims" undercard alone is worthy of an event in and of itself, which proves that the powers that be at UFC were indeed determined to make UFC 205 "the biggest, baddest card" in its history. Take a look at their most recent face-to-face encounters in "The Big Apple" below:
