It’s not uncommon for cageside officials to wipe blood from the Octagon floor when Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) hosts a particularly bloody affair (like this one) inside the eight-walled cage.
Not sure “piss” is part of their job description.
That means separate sponges when Khabib Nurmagomedov (eventually) gets his lightweight hands on two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor, who doesn’t appear to be in any big hurry to fly with “The Eagle.”
“I think he would definitely give Conor a huge problem," retired UFC legend Dan Henderson told The Adam Carolla Show (via MMA Fighting). “I think he definitely would take him down and beat the piss out of him."
Hopefully Nurmagomedov doesn’t quit between now and then.
After winning the lightweight title from Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205 earlier this month in New York (watch it), McGregor will take a leave of absence to welcome the birth of his first child (more on that here).
Unfortunately, that decision backlogs two divisions, as “Notorious” has yet to defend the featherweight title he won from Jose Aldo at UFC 194 roughly one year ago, despite a laundry list of angry contenders.
The show, according to this guy, must go on.
