Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White is tying a ribbon on another successful pay-per-view (PPV) event, as UFC 205 took place last night (Sat., Nov. 12, 2016) from inside Madison Square Garden in New York, New York.
Headlining the event was a memorable Lightweight title fight which saw Conor McGregor take out division champion Eddie Alvarez in round number two via knockout to earn the 155-pound title to go along with his Featherweight strap in a history-making bout (see it again here). Also, Tyron Woodley held on to his title, barely, as he fought to a majority draw against Stephen Thompson in a thrilling "Fight of the Night" that White says we'll likely see again in the near future given the result.
So what did White think of Conor's history-making moment? See for yourself:
"This kid, every time he says he's going to do something, he does it. He throws that left hand so effortless, but when it touches people they go down. He out-wrestled him tonight, takedown defense was great; a phenomenal performance he put on tonight, the kid is super special."
