Four of ONE Championship's biggest names will be in action between now and the end of the year with no fewer than four title fights booked.
On November 11th Shinya Aoki and Marat Gafurov will defend their belts at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. Three weeks later Brandon Vera and Bibiano Fernandes put their respective titles on the line at the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila.
It looks set to be a strong finish to the year from Asia's biggest MMA promotion regardless of whether the Bangkok card goes ahead. Originally scheduled for December 17th, the event might have to be rearranged as Thailand is currently in a period of mourning following the death of King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
Headlining the ONE: "Defending Honor" event next month is Aoki (39-6-0-1) who makes the third defence of his lightweight title against Eduard Folayang (16-5). The co-main event is a featherweight title rematch that pits undefeated champion Marat Gafurov (14-0) against Narantungalag Jadambaa (12-4).
December's ONE: "Age of Domination" card is just as strong and will be headlined by Brandon Vera (14-7) who makes the first defence of his heavyweight title against promotional newcomer Hideki Sekine (7-0). The penultimate fight of the night pits bantamweight champion Bibiano Fernandes (19-3) against Reece McLaren (9-3) with the Brazilian defending his belt for the fifth time.
Ben Askren was penciled in to defend his welterweight title in Bangkok but that fight might end up being moved to a future card if the restrictions on events and entertainment in Thailand are not lifted in time.
