Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC) Lightweight champion, Anthony Pettis, is known for being an explosive mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter, but what happened to "Showtime" recently is taking that to a whole new level.
The Roufusport-trained fighter, who is booked to face Max Holloway at UFC 206 six weeks from now, is currently trying to understand who torched his three cars, which were parked in his driveway in Milwaukee, Wisc., in the middle of the night and then fled the scene.
Milwaukee police believe an unknown suspect used an accelerant to ignite two of the vehicles which forced flames to spread to a third vehicle sitting in Pettis' driveway... One of Pettis' brothers told FOX6 News Anthony is trying to process what has happened -- and is holding off on doing any interviews.
The video that accompanies that article (embedded above) is more eye-popping than the season opener of "The Walking Dead," as you see two cars basically melted and smoke damage to the house as well.
"I saw a car speeding through the neighborhood," said Carson Blaszak, a witness to the fire, whose interview was included in the news clip. "Right around the same time as that happened, there was kind of a large bang," Blaszak said. "It was three cars caught on fire. I just, I ran outside, and I was hoping, you know, the house hopefully wasn't gonna catch on fire."
Who has that big of a grudge against "Showtime" that he or she would try and burn his place to the ground? Milwaukee police ask anyone with information pertaining to this investigation to contact them at (414) 935-7360.
