Let the flop commence!
Interim Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) featherweight king Jose Aldo has certainly had his issues with the promotion over the past few weeks, and rightfully so, but he is now closer to turning the ship around and returning to the Octagon. Aldo recently took to Twitter to post the following:
Repensando na aposentadoria do MMA, conversei com minha família e vendo os pedidos dos meus Fans coisas boas virao para vocês. Thanks Russia
— Jose Aldo Junior (@josealdojunior) October 22, 2016
"Rethinking retirement of MMA, I spoke with my family and seeing the requests from my Fans saw good things for you. Thanks Russia." (as translated by bing)
Well this certainly gives new life into Aldo's commitment moving forward. With current UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor in control of the entire 145-pound division from a distance, Aldo's fate atop the weight class is temporarily in the hands of an Irishman. That reality hasn't sat well with Aldo as he was all but retired last month following a victory over Frankie Edgar at UFC 200 this past July, but the greatest featherweight of all time is finally starting to come around.
