Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight champion, Georges St-Pierre, claims his ZUFFA contract is null and void, essentially enabling him to compete for the mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion of his choosing.
Maybe he will re-sign with UFC, maybe he won’t.
As you might expect, UFC and its new owners, WME | IMG, are in no “Rush” to send the French-Canadian to the competition, issuing a statement on Monday that St-Pierre is still legally bound to the contract he signed way back in 2011.

The good news is, St-Pierre still wants to compete. Sure, he’s now 35 and three years removed from his last bout, a hotly-contested split-decision win over Johny Hendricks at UFC 167, but this is no ordinary fighter we’re talking about.
A nugget not lost on the Sportsbooks.
In fact, the gang at Bovada already laid odds on St-Pierre’s next fight. Specifically, whether or not it will take place inside the world-famous Octagon or “any other organization,” like Bellator MMA or ONE Championship.
The former is the favorite at -220 (5/11), while the latter returns +160 (8/5).
In the meantime, St-Pierre will continue to frolic on the beach with buxom babes while his lawyers prepare to do battle in court. Unless, of course, cooler heads can prevail and GSP can find himself on the next available fight card.
Time, and apparel, is of the essence.
