H-BOMBS AWAY!
Dan Henderson got a heck of a boost last night (Sat., June 6, 2015) in the main event of UFC Fight Night 68, which took place inside Smoothie Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.
"Hendo" -- loser of five of his last six bouts -- scored a 30-second finish of Tim Boetsch, who had no idea what hit him after foolishly rushing in early with a careless attack. Boetsch didn't land, leaving himself wide open for a counter, which Henderson landed flush off his back foot.
Boetsch got instant Jello legs, but did not fall down. Henderson rushed in with a knee, and then a blistering overhand right, before Boetsch finally dropped. At that time the referee jump in to stop the action, saving "Barbarian" from additional abuse.
With calls for Henderson, 44, to retire from the sport, this highlight-reel finish will seemingly only embolden him to finish out the final two fights on his contract. And it's hard to argue otherwise -- he's still "Dangerous" even if he is not the same fighter who held dual belts under the Pride FC umbrella.
Good on ya,' Danny.
