Reigning Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier will defend his 205-pound strap against new division No. 1 contender Alexander Gustafsson in the main event of a yet-to-be announced UFC pay-per-view (PPV) later this year (more on that here).
And it sounds like Malki Kawa, manager of former division kingpin Jon Jones, is not a fan.
It's as if they're mocking the belt even more. You lose to the real champ, then fight a guy who lost his last fight? Weird

I guess he doesn't consider this, this, or this to be a mockery of said belt, but I understand his point.
Both Cormier and Gustafsson were defeated by Jones in separate title fights. And while "DC" was able to rebound with a win over Anthony Johnson, "The Mauler" was toe-tagged by "Rumble" his last time out, which appeared to clear the way for Ryan Bader.
Who also lost to Jones.
Unfortunately for the promotion, it can only play the hand it was dealt (see its cards here), and Jones is out of action -- indefinitely -- after yet another run-in with Johnny Law.
