ONE Championship will be back in Taiwan on September 18th with posters coming out this week advertising a show which will take place at the NTU Sports Arena in Taipei. It the same venue that hosted last year's ONE: "War of Dragons" card and many of the same fighters are likely to return.
That would mean a return to action for heavyweight Paul Cheng (5-1) who has not fought since the July 2014 event in Taipei. Also likely to be on the card are bantamweight Sung Ming Yen (4-1) and welterweight Jeff Huang (5-2), while lightweight Zhang Zheng Jie (2-0) could be in line for his promotional debut.
ONE: "War of Dragons" was the promotion's inaugural event in Taiwan and took place in the NTU Sports Arena a year ago. It was headlined by a featherweight bout between Eric Kelly and Rob Lisita, with the former earning himself a $50,000 bonus for a submission win, and also featured the promotional debut of Koji Ando.
Next up for Asia's biggest MMA promotion is ONE: "Kingdom of Warriors" which is set for the Thuwunna National Indoor Stadium in Yangon on July 18th. It will be the first-ever ONE Championship card to take place in Myanmar and will be headlined by a bantamweight title bout between Bibiano Fernandes and Toni Tauru.
