Floyd Mayweather will embrace the fight week "hoopla" like only he can, arriving at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada -- the site for his blockbuster fight against Manny Pacquiao this weekend (Sat., May 2, 2015) -- today at approximately 3 p.m. local time.
The "star-studded" event, which features rapper Doug E. Fresh and comedian Ricky Smiley entertaining the crowd, as well as The Southern University "Human Jukebox" Marching Band, is free and open to the public.
Doors will open at 1 p.m. local time and the "Grand Arrival Show" will begin in earnest one hour later at 2 p.m.
Pacquiao, meanwhile, will host a more reserved fan rally much earlier in the afternoon inside the nearby Mandalay Bay in Bayside C, which is located on the first floor of the South Convention Center, beginning at 11 a.m. local time (doors will open at 10 a.m. PT).
No superstars are expected to entertain the Pacquiao crowd, with his guest list featuring his trainer, Freddie Roach, promoter, Bob Arum, advisor Michael Koncz, assistant trainer Buboy Fernandez and "Pacman," Pacquiao's beloved Jack Russell Terrier and team mascot.
Seriously.
