Anderson Silva appears to be looking for attention, as the former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight titleholder has taken to his Instagram account to ask for a rematch against Nick Diaz, despite already beating him at UFC 183.
I say that because Silva has a dozen ways to contact UFC President Dana White, and is not some 0-1 rookie who needs to call on social media to get the boss's attention. So what's he up to? According to "The Spider," he has "unfinished business" with Diaz.
His words:
I believe that there is some things that are unfinished between me & Nick Diaz, I now hope that you, Dana White can accept my request & make a rematch possible in my country, Brazil.
Add this to his long list of wacky demands.
Perhaps Silva is forgetting that he's currently suspended by Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) for failing a steroids test before his Diaz fight. Even if the promotion wanted to, "The Spider" is unable to compete until his disciplinary hearing, where he could face a lengthy suspension.
Right alongside the same man he wants to fight (because of this).
Is not normal.
