"I haven't thought about who I want to fight next. I can't even say when I can fight next. But I would love to fight Nate Diaz. That's a fight I've been waiting for, for a long time. If that's next, I'm for sure down with that. I just gotta figure out when I'm able to fight again or when I can start even looking at dates to fight again."
Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight kingpin Anthony Pettis badly wants to get back into the Octagon following his devastating loss to newly minted champ Rafael Dos Anjos at UFC 185 (highlights here), but "Showtime" recently stopped by the MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani and noted he has no timetable for his return. Suffering a broken orbital bone from "RDA," Pettis is not sure when he will be able to get back inside the cage, but when he does, he would love a fight with longtime rival Nate Diaz. Of course, Stockton's bad boy had plenty to say on Twitter following Pettis' beatdown -- seemingly forgetting he was on the wrong end of a Dos Anjos masterpiece late last year (highlights here). "Showtime" made it clear he would love to shut Diaz's mouth, but he also indicated that he must get a rematch with Dos Anjos at some point. If the Duke Roufus product is able to heal up quickly, maybe fight fans will be treated to a Diaz vs Pettis bout late in the summer.
