Gulp.
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is hoping to send women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey into the UFC 184 pay-per-view (PPV) main event opposite undefeated division No. 1 contender Cat Zingano later this month (Feb. 28, 2015) in Los Angeles, California.
They just have to pass their random drug tests and unlike this debacle, results are expected before they fight.
A few weeks back, it would have seemed like a mere formality, but the way mixed martial arts (MMA) fighters are pissing hot these days, there are no more guarantees about who is clean and who is not. Though I would hope with this rant, "Rowdy" would be able to back it up.
California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) executive director Andy Foster informed MMA Fighting that Zingano took her first urine test on Tuesday, while Rousey will violate a Dixie cup at some point later this afternoon. They were pegged as the new UFC 184 main event after original headliner, Chris Weidman, bowed out due to injury.
Keep those fingers crossed!
