"Maybe it was everything else with the leadup. I'm now hearing that there's a lot of personal issues. It just seemed like maybe Ronda was distracted a little bit. But I feel like Ronda has always had a lot on her plate. She's always had a lot going on. I don't think it's ever a perfect training situation for anybody going into a fight, especially a title fight. They're longer camps and there's more demand for media and all those things. I think that's just the way Ronda is used to dealing with things. I don't know if there was really anything different this time other than she just didn't seem like herself."
Miesha Tate, twice the foe of mixed martial arts (MMA) superstar Ronda Rousey, believes that "Rowdy" had too much on her plate (via MMA Fighting) prior to her face off with ex-boxing champion Holly Holm at the UFC 193 pay-per-view (PPV) a month ago.
Other prominent names around Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) are in agreement with "Cupcake."
Rousey said prior to the loss (video) of her women's Bantamweight title that she was planning to disappear for a while, following her headliner in Australia.
The 28-year-old has remained well-hidden from the public eye (except for this little escapade with boy toy Travis Browne) and made a proclamation that she will be back in the future.
When that might be is up in the air, because of her Tinseltown obligations, but when she does get the itch to compete again, it's been determined by UFC President Dana White that she will tangle with Holm in a rematch for the 135-pound belt.
Meanwhile, Tate may be left hanging all over again, despite her plea for a title clash with "Preacher's Daughter" in the interim.
Drama, drama, drama.
