In just five days time and for the first in Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) history, a mixed martial arts (MMA) card in America will air live and exclusively on the promotion's Fight Pass streaming service as UFC Fight Night 80 is set to go down in Las Vegas on Thurs., Dec. 10, 2015.
Headlining the event is a matchup of women's Strawweight contenders Rose Namajunas and Paige VanZant, while budding 19-year-old star Sage Northcutt will face Cody Pfister in another featured bout.
To get fans amped up, UFC has rolled out its regular "Embedded" pre-fight video blogs just in-time to catch up on the last-minute preparations of those four fighters. You can watch the first episode right here.
In this second episode, Northcutt does a few radio interviews before demonstrating why he's not a pro bowler, while Pfister powers down a protein shake prior to working out. Paige VanZant sings the praises of cryotherapy and chiropractic care, as Rose Namajunas takes her dogs to the park to chase squirrels and wonder about the horrors of human-sized tree rodents.
Check out the description for episode two:
On Episode 2 of UFC Fight Pass Embedded, UFC lightweight Sage Northcutt makes the media rounds in Houston and bowls some frames with his family. As fight week draws near, his opponent Cody Pfister tapers down the physical training and turns up his mental intensity. Headlining strawweight Paige VanZant stays primed with a combination of chiropractic's and coffee, while her opponent Rose Namajunas plays with dogs before unleashing her full power in the gym.
