Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Featherweight champion, Jose Aldo, had not tasted defeat in more than one decade, clinging to the ZUFFA 145-pound title since Nov. 2009 as a member of World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC).
However, that all changed tonight (Sat., Dec. 12, 2014) at UFC 194, which took place inside MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, thanks to trash-talking interim kingpin, Conor McGregor.
And it didn't take long at all. Just one punch and 13 seconds, in fact.
True to his word, McGregor rushed out to meet Jose Aldo in the middle of the cage. Aldo threw one punch and ran into a straight left that put the champion to sleep immediately.
Just. Like. That.
Unbelievable. The official time came just 13 seconds into the very first round.
