After a controversially contested opening tilt on the UFC Fight Night 78 "Prelims" tonight (Sat., Nov. 21, 2015) in Monterrey, Mexico between lightweights Michel Prazeres and Valmir Lazaro, Marco Polo Reyes scored the first finish on the evening, with a one-punch knockout of Cezar Arzamendia.
It was the Octagon debut for both fighters, who always gun for the finish.
Arzamendia, a submission specialist, was deliberate in his pace, not throwing too much power behind his shots, but just enough so he could threaten for the takedown. Reyes was able to tag the Paraguay native with some heavy punches as the latter shot for a takedown a couple of minutes into the fight.
Reyes was able to get back to his feet without taking much damage and upon separation from the clinch, he was able to tag "Goku" with a huge left hook, sending him crashing to the canvas.
"El Toro" improves to 5-1, while Arzamendia drops to 7-2.
