If anyone is still interested in watching Alexander Gustafsson try to rebound against Rashad Evans, then "The Mauler" needs to get himself in front of his Swedish physician sooner, rather than later.
That's because the former light heavyweight title contender has been sat until April, following injuries sustained at the UFC 192 pay-per-view (PPV) event, which took place last Saturday night (Oct. 3, 2015) inside Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.
His opponent, Daniel Cormier, is out until Nov. 18.
Elsewhere on the UFC 192 fight card (full results and video highlights here), heavyweight Shawn Jordan and featherweight Yair Rodriguez were benched indefinitely, but can have those hefty sentences reversed with proper medical follow-up.
That's not all.
Here is the complete list of UFC 192 medical suspensions and injuries from Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (via MMA Junkie):
Daniel Cormier: suspended until Nov. 18

Just a quick reminder: Fighters often return to action much quicker once doctors give them the green light. The lengthy suspensions are just a precaution in most cases. In addition, not all injuries are recorded during the post-fight examination and often times surface in follow-up tests.
