Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre frequently teases a possible comeback to mixed martial arts (MMA), after walking away from combat sports in late 2013.
Considering the magnitude of his presence, and the effect it has on the promotion's bottom line, the MMA community will often speculate -- sometimes daily -- will he or won't he?
I don't think Robbie Lawler gives a shit either way.
"Who knows?" Lawler told the media on Thursday (via MMA Fighting). "Are there aliens out there? It's one of those things where, if he comes back, he comes back. If he doesn't, I don't stay up late at night thinking about it."
Case closed.
"Ruthless" was able to capture the 170-pound crown from St. Pierre's final opponent, Johny Hendricks, back in 2014. After smashing "Rush" understudy Rory MacDonald in his first title defense, the former middleweight was paired off against Carlos Condit at UFC 195.
And then?
That could be up to St. Pierre ... unless "The Natural Born Killer" decides to play spoiler.
