As part of his probation sentence, Jon Jones is to make 72 separate appearances for charity or youth outreach in order to avoid a felony charge on his record.
A judge hit the former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight champion with that sentence earlier this month for his involvement in last April's hit-and-run accident in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
But as his public relations representative told MMA Junkie, "Bones" has always taken the time to visit schools and talk to kids, as evidenced by the video clip above.
This time around, however, his message to the youth is a bit different.
"He's been speaking at schools and kids organizations for quite some time. His message is a little different now. His message to kids now is one that is very poignant. He just has a great message to tell these kids about coming back from adversity and righting your wrongs and not making the same mistakes twice."
According to the report, Jones also took the time to visit a couple of detention centers for juveniles, as well as a school and an MMA gym.
Plus, the former light heavyweight champion is set to meet with a high school baseball team later in the week as well as a few other stops. Because at the end of the day, it's all about the kids.
