There's one more World Series of Fighting (WSOF) event on the docket before 2015 wraps up, and it will take place on Fri., Dec. 18, 2015 inside The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The NBCSN-televised fight card will feature the long-awaited return of light heavyweight fighter Tyrone Spong, who splits his time between kickboxing and mixed martial arts (MMA). The "King of the Ring" (2-0) hasn't been seen in the WSOF promotion since the main event of WSOF 4 over two years ago.
Facing him on Dec. 18 is 205-pound "Honey Bear" Jake Heun (8-4).
Also in action is featherweight champion Lance "The Party" Palmer (10-1), though his upcoming opponent won't be determined until after this weekend's (Sat., Oct. 17, 2015) WSOF 24: "Fitch vs. Okami" card at Connecticut's Foxwoods Resort & Casino in Mashantucket.
Alexandre Almeida (16-5) of Manaus, Brazil, and Saul Almeida (18-5) of Boston, Mass., are scheduled to fight during the WSOF 24 "Prelims" broadcast live on WSOF.com. The winner of that fight will face Palmer -- barring any medical injuries that would preclude competing again this calendar year.
More WSOF 26 fight card announcements are expected in the coming weeks. Until then, you can stay up-to-date with all the latest WSOF-related news and notes right here.
