Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight champion Jon Jones was getting some guff from the mixed martial arts (MMA) community after he tweeted that he was "not impressed" by Alexander Gustafsson's performance against Anthony Johnson at UFC on FOX 14 (watch it).
That was right around the same time "The Mauler" was an emotional wreck, having been KTFO by Johnson in front of 30,000 fans. But hey, what's good for the goose is good for the Swedish gander, according to "Bones," who kindly reminded fans of what happened after UFC 182.
It's exactly what he did to me after my DC fight "@Mike_Liftss: @JonnyBones why'd you delete that tweet about Gustafson last night, champ?"

See Gustafsson's comments about Jones' win over Daniel Cormier right here.
That doesn't explain why he deleted it, but fans were still sticking it to him for being insensitive, because Jones won, whereas Gustafsson lost. But hey, it's Jones we're talking about, so people are going to shit on him no matter what he does.
Though he's not exactly helping his own cause.
In any event, Jones moves on to face Johnson later this year and according to his top five rankings in the light heavyweight division, "Rumble" is No. 2, while "The Mauler" drops all the way to No. 4 (see the "official" UFC rankings here).
Myself 1. AJ 2. Evans 3. DC 4. Gus

Considering Jones recently called Gustafsson the toughest fight of his career (read it), it was surprising to see him fall to No. 4, behind Cormier, though I'm not that surprised to see Rashad Evans ranked so high, even with their shaky history, as they (finally) made up last year.
The question now, is what happens if Jones is able to get past Johnson? That pretty much cleans out the division and Gustafsson would need a couple of big wins to secure a rematch. Perhaps that long-rumored trip up to the heavyweight division?
Time will tell.
