Not to beat a dead horse, but things are going from bad to worse for Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight Alistair Overeem, who was not only removed from the 265-pound title chase, but is now barely clinging to the top 10 of his division after yet another knockout loss.
And to the victor belong the spoils.
That means Ben Rothwell -- who finished "The Reem" at UFC Fight Night 50 earlier this month on FOX Sports 1 (watch it) -- gets a "Big" boost in the rankings, debuting at No. 9. Also enjoying a nice bump in the wake of the Sept. 5 event is middleweight contender Ronaldo Souza, who now takes over the No. 2 spot (sorry, Dana).
Here's what the rest of the field looks like courtesy of UFC.com. Note: (+/- = movement in rankings, *NR = Not previously ranked).
