Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is making some last minute changes to its upcoming UFC Fight Night 50: "Jacare vs. Mousasi" fight card and line up, set for this Friday night (Sept. 5, 2014) inside Foxwoods Resort Casino in Ledyard, Connecticut.
The good news is, everyone attached to the card is still competing, just maybe not in the place you were expecting.
FOX Sports 1 sent out a press release earlier today (Sept. 3) indicating that UFC Fight Night 50 would now air its main card at 10 p.m. ET -- as opposed to 9 p.m. ET -- and would be condensed to four featured fights, as opposed to the original six-fight line up.
The featherweight bout pitting Nik Lentz vs. Charles Oliveira, as well as the flyweight contest featuring John Moraga vs. Justin Scoggins, have both been shifted to the FOX Sports 1 "Prelims," which begin at 7 p.m. ET. You can see the entire reworked fight card, start times, and line up right here.
FOX Sports was unavailable for comment regarding the sudden change, but it should be noted that UFC Fight Night 50 is up against the Bellator 123 mixed martial arts (MMA) event across town, which has a "Prelims" start time of 6 p.m. ET before the main card gets going at 8 p.m. ET.
Without overlapping main cards, you can now watch Bellator 123 (see that fight card and line up here) and then switch over to the UFC Fight Night 50 featured fights on FOX Sports 1, assuming you are willing to miss (or DVR) a portion of the "Jacare vs. Souza" preliminary card.
With that in mind, what are your programming plans for Friday night?
