After nearly two years on the sidelines, Todd Duffee is finally making his Octagon return.
Duffee, still just 28, has been slotted to face Anthony Hamilton at the upcoming UFC 181: "Weidman vs. Belfort" pay-per-view (PPV) event, which takes place on Dec. 6, 2014 inside MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, according to a report from ESPN.
The 8-2 American Kickboxing Academy (AKA) product was diagnosed with Parsonage-Turner Syndrome (PTS) -- also known as idiopathic brachial plexopathy or neuralgic amyotrophy -- in late 2013, which cooled off some of his momentum. Prior to his layoff, Duffee had secured back-to-back knockout wins over Neil Grove and Philip de Fries.
Time to see if he's still got it.
Hamilton (13-3) was able to rebound from his UFC debut loss with an absolute drubbing of Ruan Potts last month in Sacramento, Calif., in what would be his eighth finish in 13 total wins. The massive "Freight Train" -- who stands an imposing 6'5" -- has also been finished in all three of his losses.
Live by the sword, die by the sword.
UFC 181 will be headlined by a middleweight title fight pitting reigning division kingpin Chris Weidman opposite former two-time titleholder Vitor Belfort, while Anthony Pettis (finally) puts his gold up for grabs when he faces off against fellow TUF 20 coach Gilbert Melendez in the co-main event.
