Getting close now.
We're just two days away from the biggest rematch of the year, which takes place MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Sept. 13, 2014, and both Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Marcos Maidana are making their final preparations for "Mayhem."
MMAmania will have LIVE coverage of the event, starting with the Showtime pay-per-view (PPV) broadcast at 8:00 PM EST.
Showtime wasted no time in putting the latest "All Access" episode up on its YouTube page after the premiere last night, so let's see what's going on.
The early part of the episode, after Floyd collects $182,000 in winnings from college football bets, focuses on Alex Ariza, Maidana's strength and conditioning coach from the first fight and now a member of the Mayweather corner. Robert Garcia fighter Brandon Rios expresses his displeasure with the development in his usual colorful manner.
Shifting focus into the Maidana camp, Garcia's father Eduardo has joined the squad. He's quite confident in Maidana's victory, claiming that "El Chino's" style is "poison" for Mayweather.
Back to Mayweather and his limo moseying around Vegas. They stop at his gym in the dark for some late-night sparring. Interestingly, Floyd allows pictures and video of his session for the first time in his career. Floyd works his man over pretty well, by the looks of things.
We've apparently spent too much time in this boxing program looking at boxing, so next up is Floyd and his entourage buying hideous, overpriced clothing. The first stop alone features over $20,000 in purchases. They end the night a bit more modestly, eating at Fatburger.
We get to see Marcos' last day off, featuring some quality food porn as his chef prepares breakfast. Then it's off to the go-kart track for some fun.
Over to Mayweather for a media day and subsequent barbecue. There's a top-tier Little League squad in attendance and much baseball merriment is had.
It's the last day of sparring in the Maidana camp. We get to see a cheeky new mouthpiece for Marcos. Maidana believes he's more well-prepared, as he was waiting for his son's birth and training in Argentina last time.
Black tie poolside party for the Mayweather entourage!
Then it's the somber, badass narration to end the episode. Only the fight remains. See the latest odds and betting lines for "Mayweather vs. Maidana 2" right here.
