"War Machine," a.k.a. Jon Koppenhaver, was today transported from Ventura County Jail in California and booked into Clark County Detention Center in Nevada to answer to several felony charges (see the full list here) in connection to his alleged beating of ex-girlfriend Christy Mack.
And he certainly looks a bit more furry than his previous mugshot 11 days ago.
LasVegasSun.com reports that the former Bellator fighter (not UFC!), who waived his extradition after being captured in a southern California hotel room by U.S. Marshals (read full arrest details here), is scheduled to appear in court this Wednesday (Sept. 3, 2014) at 8:30 a.m. local time.
It's likely that "War Machine," with the assistance of his attorney Brandon Sua -- who claims his client is "not a monster" -- will issue a plea of guilt or innocence at the hearing. He claims that he was "cursed," simply in the wrong place at the wrong time and was actually the one "fighting for his life."
Mack, and the other man who "War Machine" allegedly battered that night, VH1 reality show star Corey Thomas, obviously plan to present a wildly different account of what transpired that destructive late night inside Mack's home (read copy of police report here).
In fact, she is still recovering from her devastating injuries (see graphic photos here) more than three weeks later.
