Matt Brown isn't the only one who's uninterested in engaging in fisticuffs with Tyron Woodley, as Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) president Dana White, isn't so keen on that match up, either.
Woodley recently took the chance to call out "The Immortal" welterweight shortly after "The Chosen One" disposed of Dong Hyun Kim -- a fighter Woodley believes should have been ranked higher than Brown -- at UFC Fight Night 48 in Macau, China (recap).
The problem with that is, Brown wants to tango with Carlos Condit, claiming fight fans would much rather see that scrap, instead. As White recently told The Download, his plans are to have Woodley fight none other than Hector Lombard.
His words:
"What's weird about that is that Woodley calls out Matt Brown, but he's ranked higher than Matt Brown. But we want to do Tyron Woodley vs. Hector Lombard, that's the fight we want to do. Hector said yes, we're just waiting to hear from Woodley. Lombard said he would fight him, no problem."
Furthermore, the "sleazebag" Las Vegas fight boss also revealed that a fight between Condit and Brown, which was originally supposed to go down at UFC on FOX 9 last year before Matt was forced out with a back injury, could still happen once "The Natural Born Killer" is fully healed.
Meanwhile, Lombard, who was replaced by Woodley against Kim, is gearing up for a return to the cage in search of his third straight victory.
How about it, Maniacs, does a 170-pound showdown between "The Chosen One" and "Lightning" "Showeather" do anything for you?
