Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has assembled a light heavyweight showdown pitting Ovince St. Preux against Rafael Cavalcante for the UFC Fight Night 56 mixed martial arts (MMA) event on FOX Sports 1, which takes place on Nov. 8, 2014 inside Ginasio Municipal Tancredo Neves in Uberlandia, Brazil.
Officials announced the 205-pound pairing on Wednesday.
St. Preux (16-6) is fresh off a lackluster unanimous decision loss to division grinder Ryan Bader. Coming up empty against "Darth" in Bangor, Maine, marks the first defeat for "OSP" in five trips to the Octagon, after compiling a 5-1 record in Strikeforce.
Speaking of which...
Cavalcante (12-5) was also upended by Bader his last time out (via WrestleMania), but unlike St. Preux, "Feijao" has struggled to find any kind of consistency inside the Octagon, after a solid run in Strikeforce that also included a short-lived title reign.
Who's the contender and who's the pretender?
No other bouts have been announced for UFC Fight Night 56 at this time; however, you can expect that to change sooner, rather than later.
