Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight titleholder Cain Velasquez will put his 265-pound title on the line against multilingual division number one contender Fabricio Werdum in the main event of the upcoming UFC 180 pay-per-view (PPV), scheduled to take place on Nov. 15, 2014, inside Arena Mexico in Mexico City.
The Ultimate Fighter (TUF): "Latin America" live finale will take place in the co-main.
Marking the promotion's first trip south of the border, UFC 180 will be heavily promoted on UFC Network, which also airs TUF: "Latin America" (currently filming). So don't be surprised to see a lot of pre-fight marketing en Español, including the recently-released poster.
Have a look.
Retador? I'm not touching that one.
Velasquez (13-1) hasn't defended his crown since a UFC 166 drubbing of Junior dos Santos, and is still recovering from shoulder surgery. Werdum (18-5-1) meanwhile, is fresh off a five-round shellacking over Travis Browne at the UFC on FOX 11 event earlier this year in Orlando.
Anyone picking upset?
