Hello, Mr. Aguilar? I have Tim Kennedy on line one ...
Streaking Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight contender Tim Kennedy will ask the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) to drug test his next opponent, Yoel Romero, prior to their "Sin City" showdown in September (details).
Not that he's accusing Romero of being dirty, he just wants to help set an example for the sport.
@YoelRomeroMMA Looks like we are throwing down. FYI. I'm asking NSAC for drug testing on both of us. Lets set an example for the sport.

What's interesting here is Kennedy's decision to use social media to alert Romero to his request.
Especially in the wake of the promotion's public relations nightmare ahead of UFC 175, one that saw three fighters -- who also competed as middleweights -- turn up dirty for various substances (more on that here). Kennedy vs. Romero is currently scheduled for UFC 178 on Sept. 27, 2014 in Las Vegas.
Emphasis on "currently."
