Ronda Rousey broke her hand at UFC 175, was under consideration to save postponed UFC 176

That poor fella' in UFCs production truck was just sayin' what erryone was thinkin.'

To the surprise of few, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Women's Bantamweight Champion, Ronda Rousey, was pegged as a possible UFC 176 savior the moment Featherweight kingpin, Jose Aldo, was forced off the pay-per-view (PPV) card, according to Yahoo!Sports.com.

"Rowdy," however, had a title fight slated against Alexis Davis in the co-main event of UFC 175, which took place this past weekend (Sat., July 5, 2014) in Las Vegas, Nevada. It's safe to assume UFC officials didn't want to distract her from the task at hand, preferring instead to hope for a quick and pain-free performance.

It certainly was quick (just 16 seconds), but it was far from pain free.

Rousey needed 10 stitches (see pic here) to close a cyst that burst on her knuckle after drilling Davis mercilessly ... and endlessly. In addition, she revealed in her post-fight interview, as well as at the post-fight press conference (watch replay here), that she requires minor knee surgery.

She can now add another injury to the list: Broken hand, according to the aforementioned report.

That's more than likely a major reason company president Dana White "blew a gasket" when ringside announcer, Joe Rogan, quizzed Rousey in-ring about making an absurdly quick turnaround to fight an unnamed opponent in just three weeks. The "guy in the production truck" -- not Rogan -- had jumped the gun, putting her in an awkward spot before White and Co. could perform their makeshift post-fight due diligence.

Indeed, Rousey was never officially approached by UFC officials about the possibility, despite her willingness to fight on "24 hours notice."

As it stands now, UFC 176 has been "postponed," Rousey is out indefinitely (but hopefully not until 2015) and the now-infamous "guy in the production truck" is updating LinkedIn.

Perhaps it's all for the best.
