The official UFC rankings have been updated following the carnage at UFC 175, as well as The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 19 Finale, the two mixed martial arts (MMA) events that took place on consecutive nights last Saturday (July 5, 2014) and Sunday (July 6, 2014) from The Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Full results and wrap up from both events here and here.
Among the big winners over the weekend include Ronda Rousey -- now No. 9 pound-for pound -- who defended her bantamweight title by blitzing through Alexis Davis in 16 seconds (video) in the co main event of UFC 175.
Chris Weidman proved he's the '"real deal" by defeating Lyoto Machida (No. 2) in the main event, outscoring "The Dragon" on the judges' scorecards to retain his middleweight title in a wild "Fight of the Night" affair (highlights).
In addition, Frankie Edgar went three-for-three in his trilogy against B.J. Penn by finishing "The Prodigy" in the third round at the TUF 19 Finale (see it here), and now takes over at No. 2 in the division (sorry, Cub).
