Don't feel bad for Chael Sonnen.
The former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight number one contender -- who was drawn and quartered by Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) for a quartet of banned substances -- is married to a beautiful woman, has plenty of money, and a place to do work in California.
In short, he's "laying low."
"He apologized, and he's going to live his life, and he's doing his thing up [in Oregon]," UFC Presdient Dana White told media members at the UFC 175 post-fight press conference (watch it here). "I asked him, I said 'Chael, do you have any money?' And he said, 'I have every dollar you ever sent me.' I said 'good for you, man. Because that's a lot of money.'"
In fact, White already hinted at a possible return at some point down the road. Whether or not it's as a fighter or broadcaster -- two things he excelled at thanks to his gift of gab -- in unknown. What we do know, based on the above conversation, is that he probably won't run out of money anytime soon.
