Nick Diaz and Anderson Silva aren't the only ones ending their hiatus from combat sports competition, as former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight titleholder Matt Hughes plans on doing the same in 2015.
But it won't be inside the world-famous Octagon.
Hughes has been booked to take on Renzo Gracie in a grappling "super fight" at the prestigious Abu Dhabi Combat Club (ADCC) in 2015.
Renzo himself announced it on Twitter:
Confirmed super fight for the ADCC 2015 My brother @matthughes9x always a honor to sweat with U in the arena. Thank U pic.twitter.com/tWsymtmqeM

If you're worried that Renzo jumped the gun again and announced another fake fight, rest easy, as ADCC confirmed the bout on its official website.
This won't be the first time Gracie and Hughes competed against one another, as the two men duked it out at UFC 112 four years ago in a 170-pound match up that saw Matt defeat the submission specialist via third-round technical knockout.
It also won't be the first time Hughes has competed in ADCC, as the former welterweight kingpin placed fourth in the U99KG category at ADCC 2000, where he beat Ricardo Almeida and Jeremy Horn, before losing to Jeff Monson.
Matt made it two-zip against Almeida a decade later, submitting him inside the eight-walled cage at UFC 117, four months after schooling Renzo. This time, however, Renzo will likely have an advantage in an all-grappling affair, as he previously won the ADCC competition in 1998 and 2000 in his respective category.
Hughes now joins Chael Sonnen as a fellow retired mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter who decided to jump into the grappling world after punching peoples' faces in for a living.
"The American Gangster" is expected to headline Metamoris 4 against another ADCC vet, Andre Galvao, on Aug. 9, 2014, in Los Angeles, Calif.
See the countdown for that event here.
ADCC 2015 is expected to go down next September in Manus, Brazil.
