Phuket's premier mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion returns on August 23, 2014, and three fights have already been confirmed for Full Metal Dojo 2, which takes place at the Seduction Nightclub on Bangla Road in Patong.
The co main event will be a catchweight contest between Sweden's Kristoffer Persson, who fights out of Ole Laursen's Legacy Gym, and Afghan Baz Mohammad Mubariz, who is currently training at Phuket Top Team.
Persson (2-3) has fought for numerous promotions in South East Asia including Pro FC, PXC and DARE and is based in Boracay. Mubariz (3-2) fought three times for the Super Fight League and is coming off a win in Pakistan.
The upcoming fight card follows on from Full Metal Dojo's successful debut event in June and will also feature an all-female fight between two Thai strawweight debutants when Amp "Pocket Rocket" Boonsorn takes on Kaewjai Prachumwong.
The third fight to be confirmed sees Legacy Gym's Chatmongkhon Simma (1-2) return to the FMD cage for the second time to face debutant Tanabadee "Ninjaman" Supparukephusakun in another all-Thai bout which is set for the bantamweight division.
Thai flyweight Detchadin Srosirisuphathin (2-0) is also set to return to the FMD cage, although he is currently without an opponent as Cambodian Chan Heng, who was originally set to face him, now looks more likely to compete on the September 13th ONE FC card.
