Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) blew the roof off the SAP Center last Saturday night (July 26, 2014) with its UFC on FOX 12: "Lawler vs. Brown" mixed martial arts (MMA) event, which featured a pay-per-view (PPV) quality fight card on free television.

Watching some of the shots absorbed by both headliners, "Ruthless" Robbie Lawler and Matt "The Immortal" Brown, it's amazing how these welterweight warriors lasted 25 minutes. The same can't be said for Antonio Rogerio "Minotoro" Nogueira, whose first-round drubbing against Anthony "Rumble" Johnson plays like a slow-motion snuff film.
As for Clay "The Carpenter" Guida and Dennis "The Menace" Bermudez, their highlights were unintentionally hilarious, as both had a couple of whiffs that were good for a few laughs -- though I doubt Guida was yucking it up after getting choked out on the televised main card.
Kicking things off was the lightweight contest that saw "King" Bobby Green upset Josh "The Punk" Thomson. Regrettably, the best part of their fight -- and Fight Motion highlights -- was Green's flying somersault to enter the Octagon just before they touched gloves.
