The next international installment of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) combat sports reality show, TUF: "Latin America," will feature 16 up-and-coming mixed martial arts (MMA) fighters from Latin America, spanning nearly 20 countries, and is currently filming at the TUF house in Las Vegas, Nevada.
UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez will coach opposite division number one contender Fabricio Werdum.
The bantamweight (135 pound) and featherweight (145 pound) teams were assembled earlier this year and Velasquez will be charged with eight Mexican fighters, while Werdum leads the remaining eight, comprised of combatants from eight countries spread across Latin America.

"I've been waiting 15 years for this," said UFC President Dana White in the TUF: "Latin America" press release. "Passion for fighting is unrivaled in Latin America. It's part of their history and their culture. There's a lot of potential in this season's cast and I know they're going to bring it every fight. Adding a little extra rivalry - pitting Mexico versus the rest of Latin America - doesn't hurt either."
TUF: "Latin America" will premiere on Aug. 25, 2014, on UFC Network (via Televisa), the 24-hour subscription-based channel that covers the entire region (with the exception of Brazil). Stateside fans will be able to watch it (subititled) at the episode's conclusion online via the promotion's Fight Pass digital network.
