Judging by this - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_current_UFC_fighters it looks like Bam Bam has been cut.
Pat Healy arrived at the UFC from Strikeforce with six wins in a row & looked set to earn UFC title bout if he defeated Jim Miller. Healy did convincingly beat Miller at UFC 159 by way of submission but, his win was changed to a no contest as Pat tested positive for marijuana.
Well if Pat Healy has been cut, losing four straight seems to be the reason why, his loses have come against: the highly touted Khabib Nurmagomedov, fellow SF fighters Bobby Green, Jorge Masvidal & tough veteran Gleison Tibau.
All four losses were by way of decision & to be fair to him all four bouts were fought in a ten month period, unlike current UFC LW Champion Anthony Pettis who hasn’t fought in eleven months & won’t fight Gilbert Melendez (another inactive fighter) till December.
Healy’s MMA record stands as -
Total 50
W's 29 - KO/TKO 6, SUB 15, DEC 8
L's 20 - KO/TKO 4, SUB 6, DEC 10,
NC 1
Pat is thirty-one years old now & still has a few years in the sport but, looks weathered, you age quickly in the fight game.
So where does Pat Healy go from here?
- Win his way back into the UFC via the smaller promotions.
- Sign for UFC’s main rivals Bellator & make a run for their title.
- Money talks ONE FC, WSOF etc, whoever pays the most.
- Retire he has had a decent career.
