"I wish her congratulations because I didn't know who she was the other day. I apologize because I didn't know. I'm used to watching football and basketball. I'm not really into boxing like that. When they tell me, 'Floyd, you need to check out a fighter, you need to scout a fighter' I'll say, 'Well, let me see him. We need to sign him.' Mayweather Promotions, we are the past, present and future of sports entertainment. And yes, we will get involved with other contact sports in the future."
Boxing's pound-for-pound king, Floyd Mayweather Jr., has apologized to Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey, for what sounded like a snub earlier this week while promoting his rematch against Marcos Maidana (watch it happen here). Turn out "Mayweather" wasn't taking shots at the ESPY award winner; rather, he had no idea who "Rowdy" was because he doesn't pay attention to what's happening outside his burger joint bubble. Could UFC President Dana White be wrong in his assessment?
