UFC Fight Night 45 results: Edson Barboza liver kick stops Evan Dunham

Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

The co-main event of tonight's (Tues., July 16, 2014) UFC Fight Night 45: "Cerrone vs. Miller" event at the Revel Hotel Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey, featured Brazilian banger Edson Barboza taking on the always tough Evan Dunham.

Well, until he gets kicked in the liver.

In fairness, anyone would buckle if they had to take an uncontested kick straight to the stomach the way Dunham did. What was interesting about it was it didn't appear to land clean, instead "skimming" Dunham's midsection as color commentator Brian Stann called it.

Either way, it was hard enough that Dunham immediately doubled over in pain. Barboza ran in to finish the job and the referee, seeing Evan in such obvious pain, decided he didn't need to take any more damage and called a stop to the action.

Dunham wasn't happy, but of course he wasn't.

Ouch.
