Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight titleholder Cain Velasquez, as well as multilingual division number one contender Fabricio Werdum, will serve as head coaches for the upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF): "Latin America."
After that, they fight.
Velasquez will defend his heavyweight strap against "Vai Cavalo" in the "shocking" main event of the UFC 180 pay-per-view (PPV), scheduled to take place on Nov. 15, 2014, inside Arena Mexico in Mexico City, with the TUF finals taking place in the co-main.
Here's a sneak peek at the upcoming poster:
Velasquez (13-1) hasn't defended his crown since a UFC 166 drubbing of Junior dos Santos, and is still recovering from shoulder surgery. Werdum (18-5-1) meanwhile, is fresh off a five-round shellacking over Travis Browne at the UFC on FOX 11 event earlier this year in Orlando.
TUF: "Latin America" will air on the UFC Network (via Televisa), the 24-hour subscription-based channel that covers the entire Latin American region (with the exception of Brazil). Stateside fans will likely be able to watch it online via the promotion's Fight Pass digital network.
