Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is canceling your Wednesday night plans in favor of its UFC Fight Night 45 mixed martial arts (MMA) event on July 16, 2014, headlined by a lightweight bangfest pitting 155-pound "Cowboy" Donald Cerrone against hometown hotshot Jim Miller, airing on FOX Sports 1 with "Prelims" bouts streaming live on the promotion's new "Fight Pass" digital network.
The bout marks a quick turnaround for both fighters, who combined, share 15 post-fight bonuses, including three "Fight of the Night" awards. Cerrone (23-6) disposed of Edson Barboza at the UFC on FOX 11 event last April in Orlando, dropping the Brazilian with a stiff jab before choking him out.
Miller (24-4, 1 NC) competed just a few days later and had similar results, strangling Yancy Medeiros on the UFC 172 main card in Baltimore. Both fighters sport a string of three consecutive wins and will undoubtedly put on a show when the promotion heads back to "Dirty Jersey" this summer.
