The "Countdown" has begun!
"Countdown" to UFC 174 lit up the airwaves on Sunday night via FOX Sports 1 to help promote the upcoming "Johnson vs Bagautinov" pay-per-view (PPV) event scheduled for this Saturday night (June 14, 2014) inside Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada.
And it's a 125-pound championship clash that gets top billing, but all eyes will be on hometown favorite, Rory MacDonald, who battles Tyron Woodley in the co-main event with a potential 170-pound title shot on the line for the winner.
Make no mistake, Johnson has earned the opportunity to headline a pay-per-view (PPV) event thanks to three straight award-winning performances on FOX. While his opponent, Ali Bagautinov, isn't a household name, he is certainly a formidable foe who will give "Mighty Mouse" all he can muster.
The other top PPV main card match is a 205-pound showdown between former Strikeforce Light Heavyweight champion, Rafael "Feijao" Cavalcante locking horns with The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 7 winner, Ryan Bader. All three high-profile bouts were recently featured on FOX Sports 1's "Countdown" special this past weekend -- check out the video replays above and below.
